Subject - Verb Agreement 
Subject-verb agreement adalah persesuaian antara verb dengan subject dalam hal number, yaitu: singular (tunggal) atau plural (jamak). Pada dasarnya, singular subject (subjek tunggal) menggunakan singular verb (kata kerja tunggal), sedangkan plural subject (subjek jamak) menggunakan plural verb (kata kerja jamak).


Singular → He - She - It menggunakan verb ies/es/is
Plural    → They - We - I - You menggunakan V1


Contoh
He scolds Edward for harpooning a Humpback whale → Singular
Connor strikes his enemy with Tomahawk → Singular
We try to reclaim the Spanish Fort → Plural
I beat up the bandits in the tavern


Gerund
Gerund adalah suatu kata yang dibentuk dari verb (kata kerja) dengan ditambahkan suffix (akhiran) -ing dan berfungsi sebagai noun (kata benda).

Contoh
Harpooning a whale is not an easy task
I hate arguing with my father
I am happy working as a minstrel


Prepositional Subject 
Preposition biasanya diikuti oleh object. Object of a preposition (objek dari kata depan) tersebut dapat berupa noun (kata benda), pronoun (kata ganti), gerund (kata benda jadian), atau noun phrase (frasa kata benda). Prepositional phrase adalah gabungan antara preposition dengan object tersebut.

Contoh
This Templar Hunt is a secret between us →Between (Preposition), us (pronoun)


Each and Every
Untuk kalimat yang diawali "Each/Every" selalu diikuti dengan "Singular Noun" lalu "Singular Verb".
